Set up Dashboard Videos and Flow Videos

Here's a step-by-step guide to setting up Dashboard Videos and Flow Videos within the Client Portal in Chief 2.0.

Getting Started

To begin, navigate to:

Settings → Account Settings → Client Portal

Within this section, you'll find options for both Dashboard Videos and Flow Videos.

Before using either feature, ensure they are enabled by toggling the slider on.

Dashboard Videos

Dashboard Videos allow you to display tailored content to clients as their deal progresses through each stage.

How to set up:

  1. Open the Dashboard Videos section (this will initially be empty).
  2. Click Add and select the relevant workflow.
  3. Once selected, all stages within that workflow will appear.
  4. Attach a video to each stage as needed.

As the deal progresses, the client will see different videos aligned to each stage on their dashboard.

Uploading videos:

  • You can use platforms like YouTube or Vimeo (Vimeo is often preferred).
  • Simply upload your video to your chosen platform.
  • Ensure the video is set to public.
  • Copy the video link and paste it into the relevant stage in SFGconnect.

Best practice approach:

  • Introductory video about your business or client portal
  • Key milestone updates (e.g. conditional approval, settlement)
  • A final “congratulations” video at the end of the journey

Flow Videos

Flow Videos are designed to guide clients as they complete the fact find.

How they work:

  • Each video is attached to a specific section of the fact find.
  • Clients will see a small play button in the top right corner of each section.
  • Clicking the button allows them to watch a short guidance video.

Best use cases:

  • Explaining what information is required in each section
  • Demonstrating how to upload documents (e.g. bank statements)
  • Guiding clients on where to locate key financial information

Why Use Videos?

While both Dashboard and Flow Videos are optional, they can significantly enhance the client experience by:

  • Providing clarity at each stage
  • Reducing confusion and back-and-forth
  • Guiding clients through the process step by step
