Saving in Chief 2.0
LINK: Chief 2 0 - Saving Guide
When you open a deal and navigate to Home Loan Tools, you’ll notice three buttons at the bottom of the page: Previous, Save, and Next.
· The Save button will save any changes made on the page.
· The Previous and Next buttons will also automatically save your updates when clicked.
How Auto-Save Works
Example 1: If you select a deal card, open Home Loan Tools, enter the client’s preferred name, and click Next, a progress bar will appear at the top of the screen. Once complete, you will see the notification:
“Client profile successfully updated.”
This confirms the information has been saved.
Example 2: If you move between sections within Home Loan Tools — for example, from Applicant Details to Funding Worksheet — the progress bar will appear again, followed by the same confirmation notification. This confirms your updates have been saved.
Example 3: If you change the preferred name and then click the deal name at the top of the screen to return to the deal overview, the progress bar will appear and the save confirmation notification will display again.
When Changes Are NOT Saved
If changes are made in Home Loan Tools and you navigate to a different section of the sales workflow without saving, you will notice:
· No progress bar at the top of the screen
· No confirmation notification
This indicates that your changes have not been saved.
Summary
· While remaining within Home Loan Tools, your changes are automatically saved when you:
o Click Previous, Save, or Next
o Move between sections
o Use page navigation at the top
If you leave Home Loan Tools and move to another area of the workflow without saving, your changes will not be retained
