Commercial Lenders

Please note, if you have less than 2 years experience in Commercial, some lenders will not accredit you for commercial, though some will if you have CAFBA membership. See below for more info.

Discount for MFAA Members

Current financial members of MFAA have a reciprocal membership arrangement with CAFBA which allows you to claim 50% discount on the annual CAFBA membership fee. The membership discount will only be applied to the same person as shown on the MFAA certificate.To claim this discount, please upload a copy of your current MFAA membership certificate in your online new member application, and advise CAFBA this has been done at: info@cafba.com.auWe will then apply this discount to your application so you can then pay the reduced amount.

By submitting your application for Full CAFBA membership you are agreeing to pay CAFBA Membership Fees as per the schedule.All applications are subject to approval by the CAFBA Committee.

Documentation submitted will not distributed or shown to any third party unless an issue arises pertaining to dishonesty, in which case referral to the sub-committee consisting of the President, Vice-President and one Committee member, will determine the relevancy of the application.

Requires a police check of less than 90 days.

The Approval of Commercial Broker accreditation may be subject to further assessment on experience and background.

For Commercial Broker accreditations to be accepted, brokers are required to have more than 2 years experience and a loan must be available to submit.
If you have less than 2 years' experience, you must discuss a commercial deal opportunity with a BOQ Commercial Broker BDM and hold a valid letter of mentorship.

Macquarie Commercial

IMPORTANT - Macquarie will only accept brokers who are serious about submitting loans to them and to prove you are serious, you must complete the online training within the specified time frame, otherwise they will decline your application for accreditation and may not allow you to try again.

Macquarie Commercial Lending Guide
Macquarie requires a minumum 2 years' experience as a broker or in a finance/banking role
Macquarie require a Police AND Credit check no older than 90 days.
Form must be hand-signed or electronically signed forms must be accompanied by proof of signing. This means that a Certificate of Completion or an Evidence of Signing Summary will need to be provided.
